Anna Pogossova
Moscow born, Sydney based artist, Anna Pogossova, explores the nature of imagination, the otherworldly and the metaphysical through a variety of mediums, including, illustration, photography and installation.
Anna often incorporates what is conventionally described as nostalgic or outmoded craft, such as sewing, embroidery, and traditional wallpaper and décor styles. These mediums are inhabited by a phantasmagoria of sinister soft toy creatures and malicious Victorian children perpetually suspended in battle.
Anna’s current work continues to build on the mythology surrounding these magical characters and their shifting, volatile realm.

Mia Taninaka
Mia lives and works on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Her father is Japanese so she grew up surrounded by a lot of Japanese art and anime films. A lot of her inspiration is drawn from the magic and spiritual themes that are prominent in Japanese culture.
She has always loved working with different colours and textures, but more recently has started drawing lines. Lots of lines. Just using a felt tip black pen Mia will spend endless hours drawing lines across the paper until they resemble something she can explore further.
‘Painting is how I make sense of the wild around me. I like to live somewhere in between the magic and the mayhem’
